Challenge
Chevron's renewable energy team spends hours to research a single company. Manually reading through hundreds of pages of reports for a single company takes up valuable time and makes organization difficult.
Mission
Make it faster and easier for Chevron to research other company's sustainability efforts, so the Renewable Energy Group can choose which brands to collaborate with.
Impact
With our tool, total research time went down from up to 4 hours to only 35 minutes. Our tool also retrieved and summarized company data with 95% accuracy.

Design a way to quickly compare companies' sustainability efforts
Research
We interviewed members of the Chevron Renewable Energy Group to understand their research flow and difficulties with their current process. We learned that they struggled with disorganization, inefficiency, and difficulty comparing data. We used this information to inform our decision to build a consolidated research dashboard powered by AI.
Ideation
I explored various ways of displaying data using AI tools, specifically Claude design and Cursor. I was able to rapidly create wireframes and prototypes to find the best design solution.

Final Design
Our tool scrapes companies' annual sustainability reports, gathers the complex data, and visualizes it into a simple, clean dashboard. Allowing a previously hours long research task to take mere minutes. There is also a comparison feature, allowing researchers to quickly view and compare multiple companies' data. Our tool received praise from the Chevron research team for its intuitive user flow and modern visual design.
